# Sixth Grade Math

STILL UNDER A LOT OF CONSTRUCTION

Below is the Common Core 6th grade curriculum guide that my district is using.  We are using Singapore math and there are a lot more strategies and hands on activities.  My goal is to get all of my activities posted for all the sections and add new activities that I find during the school year.

1.1   The Number Line (6.NS.6)

1.2   Prime Factorization

• Identify composite numbers , Write a composite number as a product of its prime factors

1.3   Common Factors and Multiples (6.NS.1), (6.NS.4)

1.4   Squares and Square Roots

1.5   Cubes and Cube Roots

9.2 Length of Line Segments (6.NS.8)

• Find lengths of line segments parallel to the x-axis and y-axis
• Plot points on a coordinate plane for a real-world problem and solve it

9.3 Real-World Problems: Graphing (6.NS.8)
